Nose to the Grindstone

4156 words today so far.

A "hole-filling" day of work, completing one chapter and extending another.  Learning new things...like why there were fewer people at Aliam Halveric's than I expected when watching the Count of Andressat arrive.   Working out interesting bits of background...what is Kieri going to do with the Royal Archers when he's never had a pure archery unit.  (Cracolnya's, as  some of you recall, was a mixed unit that could fight with either bows or swords--or polearms, at need.)

Also have been printing out chapters, and signing the sheets for the Vance anthology.   If you sign too many sheets at once, your hand spazzes up...and mistakes happen.
