Good trip, nice event in Kaufman, TX, thanks to the Friends of the Kaufman County Library (who did all the heavy lifting for it--great bunch of people), wonderful overnight stay at Star Brand Ranch's executive retreat center, good drives up and back.
I-35 traffic sucks, but that's not new. Had to be on it from Belton to Italy. One good thing about getting off I-35 at Italy (where the big road rises up over 34) is getting to drive by Starship Pegasus...someone stuck a good-sized dome structure and some pod-like extensions halfway in the ground and there's a sign.
Nonetheless--tired, and tomorrow's a giant rehearsal day for the Messiah and I am not adequately prepared (thanks to the book, of course.) So I'm here only long enough to say I made it safely up and back, and now it's time for work again.
