Stuff from the Sky

Rain, they said.  High probability of rain, they said.  Given our drought situation (rated "extreme") rain was certainly a welcome forecast.

What we have is a minor ice storm. 

Pretty, but  not what I wanted.   Nor what the land needed.

On the feeding areas right now: white-winged doves, goldfinch, house sparrow, blue jay.  A dove just armpitted a blue jay and the jay said something rude and the dove flew off.
