Thanks. I must however quit staring at it, and go prepare the website entry so my web guru can upload it to the two sites later today.

And actually eating lunch might not be a bad idea, either.

Yours was one of several comments that I pared away from their identifying marks and sent back up to my editor to share with the art department for a job well done.

Thanks.

Yup. Still bouncing happily, but must soon stop and think...there's stuff I need to, you know, actually *do*.

Me, too.

And of course I love it even more when the people who already like that universe love it.

Looking forward to seeing it on the shelves.

Well, theoretically. Being in the UK, I very likely won't. Borders seems to have stopped buying books - their shelves are half empty, and they're the only ones occasionally stocking American editions.

Sigh. I kid you not. All the highstreet stores have thinned out - Waterstones has about 2/3 of the books on its shelves that it could carry, but Borders is down to around half. Which does not make it easier to find stuff I want to buy.

Ouch. Well, maybe things will improve by next spring. And you'll have the Orbit edition (not the same cover, I don't think. Not sure.)

Yes. The cover definitely sells the book. A highpoint among an ocean of totally dreck covers.
Now to wait. I wants it NOW.!!!!!!!!!!

*sulks* That doesn't look like Arvid at all. I protest!

(ok, seriously, I like the cover, and Dorrin always was interesting, magic sword and all. I'm excited to learn more of her).

Arvid doesn't show up until the second book....but since they want Kieri on the second book you're still going to have to imagine Arvid.

Sorry.

Glad you liked it otherwise.

I was glad to find you had a blog. I am looking forward to these books. I have always enjoyed reading your books. The Paks series is one of my favorites. I have worn out the covers and spines on the copies my mother had. You autographed the second book for my father when we were in Germany and my mother had kept it when they separated. I would like to surprise my mother with a replacement autograph. Are you doing any signings soon?
