Back from South Carolina, which was cooler, vastly greener, with gorgeous big trees and green grass--and very friendly people whose company I enjoyed.

The trip home took longer than planned (weather and delays) but I'm home.  About to hit the sack (THUD!)

Hope you waved as you passed through Atlanta!

We bypassed Atlanta. I can't call it a straight flight from Greenville/Spartanburg to DFW, since we spent a lot of time dodging Weather, but we weren't caught in Atlanta, from which some of our passengers were lucky escapees.

DFW, as usual, was a rolling doughnut of annoyance, including the now-frequent rude gate agent, the unhelpful other airport personnel, the gate changes (I don't know why they bother to tell you ANY gate until you have only time to scurry breathlessly to the one they're finally going to use) and the evening ended with a lady having breathing trouble on the final flight (the one out of DFW) so we sat on the ground a long time after landing before they got her out of the plane and finally let us off.

(And I remember when I loved flying...now, not so much. )
