Today's Wildlife

Today's wildlife is a small, very colorful spider.  I  think it's an Orchard Spider, Leucauge venusta, but I haven't had that confirmed by an expert yet.  There used to be two recognized species in the states (the other was the Mabel Orchard Spider) but at some point the "lumpers" lumped the two together.

In sunlight, the white parts would be silvery; the legs are metallic green, and the yellow and orange are bright.  Notice the upside down scary face on the posterior in the right-hand image.
