An inch so far.  Maybe more to come.

Rain, rain, come and stay--
Don't wait until another day.
Soak the ground and start the streams,
Give the crawdads happy dreams.

When it's been as dry as this, there's no better way to be wakened than by the drumming of rain on the roof.

Nose to the Grindstone (not)

Today's been a wash, writing-wise.  Very, very sore hands, even after ibuprofen  Then the rain, which was such an Event.

Then the mental/emotional strain of yesterday's 5000 word intense chapter.

So today, by 10:44 pm (after choir), only about 1600 words.   I needed at least 3000.  I'll try for more before midnight.
