Urgh

A few days ago I thought "Oh, I'll just take a couple of days off LJ and some other venues, and get over this post-performance migraine quicker. And, and, and...I'll just keep writing and make my weekly word count even if I have only 2-3 days to do it in. And I can also do a lot of slow-easy winter cooking while I'm at it."

Ha.

I don't know if it's just a migraine, or a migraine plus something else, or the weather plus the migraine, but I still feel like someone was inside my head with a ballpeen hammer and someone outside had laid me on the ground and run a big heavy pavement roller over me. ( Well, of course, not REALLY. If someone had REALLY run that machine over me I'd be dead. But the whole bod feels pounded.) I manage to get up and accomplish some little thing for an hour or so and then collapse back on the bed. Sometimes to sleep and sometimes to lie there thinking of all the things I should be accomplishing.

Luckily, making stock is one of the things that you can do when you feel like this, so the beef stock got made and is now frozen and this weekend's soup also got made.

Aside from that, I want plug-and-play body parts, especially sinuses, eyes, joints, brain, and various innards that are not up for polite discussion.

And so, once again I'm headed back to bed.
