00:24:42: Roasting bones became incipient stock at 9 pm. Should be done by morning but stayed up to do post-midnight check. 09:22:15: Stock simmered overnight, almost ready to strain. But am I? 10:54:17: Six weeks until release of the new book, Oath of Fealty. Twelve days until ConDFW. Feeling...excited. 11:28:14: Three monster bones out of the stock. I'm pretty sure it's head of femur (2 pieces) and one unknown lump. Amateur butchery. 17:37:03: Stock is decreasing to the point where it will fit in the 10 quart pot. We aren't there yet. Slowly it shrinks, ounce by ounce... 23:40:53: Stock's all now in the 10 quart pot...just barely. Tweets copied by twittinesis.com
