  • 19:19:03: I'm in Atlanta...tired, ready for shower and bed.
  • 19:24:30: The good news--over 2000 words written on train today. The bad news: bedbugs bite. But in which bed did the bugs bite (train/hotel?)
  • 19:25:00: I'm betting on train.
  • 20:12:29: A couple of new posts up at http://www.paksworld.com/blog/ about the trip to Dragon*Con and my schedule there.
  • 20:15:18: Don't know. Hope not. Will fumigate fiercely when I get home. I use the luggage racks & then stack empties in a corner.

A friend just told me that a couple of hours in a sun-baked sealed-up hot car will kill those bugs. She said they just put things in plastic bags and left to them to bake for a couple of days. Here in NYC the bugs are spreading fast. It's so bad that some people put down sheets or garbage bags before they will sit down in a movie theater. A Victoria's Secret store had to close and issue warnings about infested lingerie. Bedbugs are a nightmare to get rid of so take precautions before you go back home.

I won't have a chance to sun-bake anything here in the hotel, but once I'm back in Austin, I can put everything in the car there and take a nap in my friend's house while they...um...cook. Or leave everything in the car when I get home, for that matter.
