Like the app, hate the app, I don't want Apple playing Content or Morality police. Their banning of a guy's "Cartoon of the day" app and then begging him to resubmit ONLY after the cartoonist won the Pulitzer prize rubs me the wrong way. Unless the app steals data or money or damages the phone or network, Apple shouldn't get to play Good Taste Cop with what other people write. Even if it's not the government doing the censoring, it is still censoring.

Yes. I have decided that I do not want to own a phone that does not have an open platform, so Apple has lost its chance for my business.

Now, I know people working at Apple and former employees of Apple, and all of them personally are GLBTQ-friendly, if not actually GLBTQ, and on the face of it, the corporation is GLBTQ-friendly where its employees are concerned. This bias in approving those apps is surprising to me.
