For those of you who visit one of my websites or the blogs...right now they're down, due to a server problem at the hosting site, SFF.net.

That's the main site,  www.elizabethmoon.com, and the project-specific sites for the Paksworld books, the 80 acres wildlife project, and The Speed of Dark.

While they're down, I'll post here if there's anything much to say.    I'll post something here when I know they're back up.   (If you notice before I do, go on an comment to that effect.  In the meantime...I've got work to do...)

Techsupport said they don't think it's stable yet--up and down. They're planning to change out some of the dubious bits and said to expect off and on access. I've been checking from time to time, but I really should go back to work and let them finish.

Yes, well...Verizon, whom they called hours and hours ago to reset the router connection at V's end of things, has declined to do so until "the day shift" comes on. First said it might take a couple of hours, and then the supervisor said they just didn't have anyone available to do so.

There've been periodic updates via Twitter, increasingly tart about Verizon, but it's not something "my guys" can fix. At least, not electronically.

I think Verizon needs to have someone use up a whole can of whup-ass on them, but they probably wear CYA suits all the time anyway, so...no joy there.

I wonder if Verizon is one of those places were the day shift picks up the phone at 10 am though the grunts have been working since 6.
