If your cellphone (or it's case) has one of those "knobs" that the clip attaches to, there's a semi-expensive but *very* useful gizmo you can get.

It's a carabiner that attaches to the knob. I got it as an accesory for my GPS from Garmin. But I find it's perfect for attaching my cell phone to my shoulder bag.

Of course, I'm often wearing that bag with the strap across my chest to the opposite shoulder while bicycling, so I had rather stronger worries about the phone coming loose.

There have been _many_ times I've called my cell from the house phone to locate it by the ringing. It's when I forget to take the darn thing off "vibrate" that this becomes a more frustrating exercise...
