[Current Mood |awake]

Having missed a couple of years while helping out friends with the runup to LoneStarCon, I'm going back to DragonCon this Labor Day.  I'm excited, and hope to see fans who couldn't make it last time.   Right now I have a tentative schedule--not final, as the email clearly said--and I've asked for a signing slot and a reading slot in addition--no idea if those are possible, but...don't ask, don't get.  Below the cut, the tentative schedule.  (EDIT NOTE: autograph session & reading added on Sunday.)

I will post changes here, probably just by editing this post and correcting as necessary, so this is the place to look for my DragonCon schedule unless I post some other link on Twitter.

Goodness, I wish I could be there! As I said elsewhere, I don't usually go to conventions, but I would have been prepared to have made an exception for that had you been able to come to London this year!

I'm sorry I couldn't, but it became obvious over six months ago that too many things were coming up that had to be fitted in and a trip overseas just was not going to happen. I wasn't happy about it, but reality is what it is.

The nagging feeling that more might be going on than I knew about was brought into sharp focus when my father died in April and my vision continued to deteriorate noticeably.

Yes, I can understand that! I hope you will come over one of these years, though, maybe on a book tour if not to a convention.

Maybe a a tourist with time on my hands and a chance to wander all over the island. Every bit I've seen has been special. If I do get to come over again, I will certainly announce it all over the place in hopes of meeting you and others I've corresponded with online.

What a fantastic lineup of authors. I'll be chained to my booth all through the show, but I hope you have a marvelous time!

Having a limited amount of vacations time, I elected to go to Loncon once I found that I had enough money to go.
Maybe next year you can come up to Sasquan? I will be running the art show - NOT just a minion, again :)

I don't know...there are Issues to be dealt with on the home front, and some have been put off longer than was a good idea.

damn

I usually have weekends off. Now, I see you are there and my boss already asked me to work. Since, I can't be there, can you tell me what you are going to read? I drove from North Dallas to Austin to meet you one time, I would have drove from Charleston to Atlanta.
